On February 3, the Center of National Art played host to a meeting of the Women`s Council members. Among those attending the event was Gulnara Karimova, the Chairwoman of the Women`s Council Organizing Council, who joined the members to discuss plans for 2011.
As a rule, the members of the Women`s Council meet once a month, but this is an informal get-together filled with warmth and friendliness. The women share their impressions and ideas in an atmosphere of trust and cordiality. The event normally features a new program and is attended by interesting guests that include creative people, doctors and psychologists. The Women`s Council meetings generate new ideas, new visions, new projects and acquaintances. But the most recent get-together gave itself the goal of discussing the Women`s Council`s work plan for the current year. The women talked about upcoming plans and made proposals regarding their implementation.
Particular attention was given to the organization of “In the Name of Life” charitable marathon, which this year is expected to involve not only the youth but also hundreds of women ready to support the breast cancer fight initiative.
Those gathered also discussed the upcoming celebrations of Navruz, International Women`s Day and the 6th anniversary of the Women`s Council which are scheduled for March 23 as well as the organization of the international Traditional Medicine Exhibition-Fair “Health and Beauty”, which will take place on March 24 at the Youth Creativity Palace.
