Dr. Gulnara Karimova, Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary was awarded the title of the Honorary-Member of the Cercle Diplomatique de Geneve on December 10, 2008 in Geneva (Switzeland).
The mission of the Cercle Diplomatique is to facilitate contact between the Citizens of Geneva and International Community.The will of the Cercle Diplomatique is to create direct and personal ties between the diplomatic, governmental, international and local representatives of Geneva`s economic and social society.
The strenght of the Cercle Diplomatique lies in its ability to mobilise a vast relational network, thereby ensuring the success of its various projects. Among the honorary members of the organization are: Valery Giscard D`estaing, former President of France, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar`Adua, President of Nigeria, Bernard Kouchner, Minister of Foreign affars of France and many other international figures.
